Group Therapy

Anxiety Psychotherapy Group

I am planning to run a long-term anxiety psychotherapy group that takes an interpersonal psychodynamic approach. What this means is that members of the group come together and meet to discuss anxiety and commit to staying in the group until they are ready to “graduate” and move on. This means that the group has no defined end but that each individual finishes their time in the group when they feel the time is right. As one member leaves, another ends up joining. The group itself becomes a part of the healing process where members get to know one another and share about their struggles with anxiety. The group is facilitated by myself and would meet weekly or bi-weekly. Taking part in a group like this can be a cost-effective way to participate in therapy as each group session costs about half of what it would cost to do a regular individual session. I am currently in the planning stages of this group but if you are interested in being a part of it, please reach out to me over email or telephone.
