Overview
Sex and sexuality are core parts of who we are, yet they can be difficult to talk about. Concerns in these areas often bring up feelings of anxiety, guilt, or shame, and can have a significant impact on both our personal well-being and our relationships. I provide a non-judgmental, sex-positive space where you can safely explore issues related to sexual identity, intimacy, desire, arousal, or any other aspect of your sexual self.
My approach is grounded in both clinical training and deep academic engagement. I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of New Brunswick, as well as a Master’s from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, where I studied in the Sociology and Equity Studies in Education program in collaboration with the Sexual Diversity Studies (SDS) program. I also completed all doctoral coursework in the same program. My academic research focused on topics such as sexual identity, pornography, and digital sexual cultures (e.g., Tinder, Grindr), and I’ve published scholarly work in the field of sexuality studies. In addition to my clinical and academic background, I’ve taught university-level sexuality courses and have facilitated workshops for other health professionals on supporting clients with sex and sexuality-related concerns.
This combined experience allows me to bring an inclusive, evidence-based, and affirming lens to therapeutic work with individuals and couples navigating the complexities of sex, sexuality, and identity.
